Itinerary in detail
Every trip is shaped around you. Below is a sample route to start from; we change any part of it to suit you.
Days 1-2
Overnight in Johannesburg
Your journey starts in Johannesburg, South Africa’s commercial and economic epicentre. In recent years, this city has undergone a metamorphosis, with redevelopment leading to cool rooftop bars, arty shopping complexes and vibrant street art.

Where you could stay
Days 3-7
Five days in South Luangwa National Park
This magnificent reserve is where walking safaris originated, and they remain one of the most exhilarating experiences you can have in Africa. They are a must–do during your stay here, and the talented team of guides and trackers are on hand to offer you the best possible experience. The lush landscapes are sustained by the Luangwa River, and you’ll be able to spot over 60 different animal species and 400 different bird species.

Walking Safari

A Zambian walking safari is one of the most outstanding wildlife experiences in Africa, and South Luangwa is where it all began. Trekking between a selection of intimate bush camps, explore this incredibly game rich area with a team of the best safari guides and rangers. There may even be the option to spend a night or two out under the stars with nothing but a mosquito net between you and the bush.
Days 8-11
Four days on safari in the Lower Zambezi
The Lower Zambezi National Park borders Zimbabwe in the south eastern corner of Zambia. The park itself covers an area of 4092km², with most of the game concentrated on the valley floor. Huge herds of elephants, sometimes numbering up to a hundred members, are often seen at the river’s edge. Another member of the Big Five, the buffalo, also roams between the banks in vast numbers. All but inaccessible by road, it remains a remote wilderness with just a few guests.

Where you could stay
Days 12-15
Luxury safari in Linyanti
Sitting north of the Okavango, the Linyanti is home to some of Botswana’s most exclusive lodges and camp. Due to the fact that the reserve is private, there are no limitations to the activities on offer as in the National Park, so it is possible to do game drives at day and at night, as well as walking safaris, boating, fishing and sleepouts in the reserve’s various hides.
