Where to go on a family safari

When to travel for family safaris

The best time for a family safari in Africa can vary according to your destination, but we recommend aiming for the dry season (May/June–October in most places). Pleasant temperatures, low rainfall and optimal wildlife spotting conditions make these months particularly convenient for family travel. The dry season is often the best time for safaris in other parts of the world, too, but it depends on which species and activities are most important to you.
