When to visit Costa Rica
The dry season runs from mid November to April, and most areas are dry, warm and sunny, so perfect for your Costa Rica vacation. It’s the best time to visit for wildlife spotting as the animals gather around diminishing water sources. This is also an excellent time for snorkelling and relaxing on the sun-drenched coasts of the Nicoya Peninsula and the Guanacaste coast. The rainy season from May to November offers good whitewater rafting in swollen levels and massive surf swells on the Pacific Coast from April to August.
