Hammerhead Shark Data Collection

Learn about the conservation measures in place to protect one of the critically endangered species found in Costa Rica: hammerhead sharks. You’ll join a shark tagging expedition aboard a Misión Tiburón research boat in Golfo Dulce, assisting with tagging, basic data recording and observation led by experienced researchers. You’ll get to watch applied science turn into quantifiable conservation data, learn about Costa Rica’s marine biodiversity and work with locals to protect their environment.

Your next stop, and your welcome to Panama, finds you in a unique and beautiful rainforest setting. Isla Palenque is an exclusive private island resort set amidst 400 acres of enchanting jungle.
