Sanctuary Pakbeng Lodge

Located midway between Luang Prabang and Huay Xai, the main border crossing between northern Thailand and Laos, is Sanctuary Pakbeng Lodge. Sitting on the banks of the Mekong River, it enjoys an idyllic situation.

There are 20 rooms spread across two buildings. With bamboo furnishings, Hmong wall hangings and parquet rosewood floors, they have a traditional feel. All rooms face the Mekong so you can enjoy serene views from the moment you wake up.

There are two restaurants at the lodge serving Thai and Laotian cuisine using ingredients from their organic kitchen garden. You can also enjoy drinks at the bar as the sun goes down and water buffalo come to bathe in the cool waters of the Mekong.
