A 19th-century heritage villa with Chenot wellness and Franciacorta’s finest wines

Set high in the vineyards of Franciacorta, just under an hour from Milan, L’Albereta combines Italy’s old-world grandeur with contemporary art, gastronomy, and wellbeing. Once a 19th-century family villa, the property was transformed by art patron Carmen Moretti de Rosa into a retreat dedicated to beauty and renewal. Original frescoes, terraces framed by ivy and balconies overlooking Lake Iseo connect the house to surrounding vines and chestnut forests.

Six restaurants offer diverse culinary experiences, from fine dining to relaxed pizza. At Leone Felice Vista Lago, chef Fabio Abbattista crafts modern Lombard cuisine paired with Bellavista wines from the family’s own cellar. La Filiale, set in the villa’s old tower, serves gourmet pizza curated by celebrated pizza chef Franco Pepe, while L’Aurum offers refined fare that fuses sweeping views with emotive flavours.

The Chenot Espace Health Wellness Spa is the first of its kind in Italy, integrating medical expertise with natural treatments and hydrotherapy. You follow a personalised programme that restores balance through nutrition, bio-energy massages and detox therapies. Days unfold between wine tastings in the Bellavista cellars, e-biking through Franciacorta’s gentle hills or relaxing in the villa’s sunlit winter garden.
