The Dylan

The Dylan is a place to stay in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

An Amsterdam landmark

Set back from the Keizersgracht canal behind a 400 year old gateway that dates back to the site’s time as an eminent theatre, the vast mansion was completely renovated and reopened as a luxury boutique hotel at the turn of the millennium and is now regarded as one of the city’s finest.

40 individually designed rooms and suites range in size up to split level duplexes and grand suites, with interiors of varying boldness, from subdued natural woods and monochrome to daringly ornamented rooms referencing the Netherlands’ Asian colonial history.

The Brasserie OCCO is a nicely relaxed setting for breakfast, lunch, drinks and dinner, but it is the Michelin starred Vinkeles restaurant that is the gastronomic highlight here, with delicate French cuisine served in a sunken dining room.

While the secluded courtyard garden is a pleasant place to relax, there is a small fleet of bicycles parked outside for guests to rent and explore the city upon like a local. The Rijksmuseum, Anne Frank’s House, the Van Gogh museum, as well as a variety of chic shopping and café districts, are all nearby.
