Itinerary in detail
Every trip is shaped around you. Below is a sample route to start from; we change any part of it to suit you.
Days 1-4
Three nights in Copenhagen
Originally a Viking fishing village, Copenhagen has evolved into one of Europe’s most sophisticated cities. Spread across the two islands of Zealand and Amager, and separated from Sweden by the Øresund Bridge, it is a city of contrasts, seamlessly blending classic architecture with cutting edge modern design.
Explore the city on foot, taking in the oldest part of town, dating back to 1160, and the University, the Queen’s Palace and the Round Tower. Then it’s on to Christiansborg Palace with its tower and view of the Copenhagen skyline. Enjoy a private cruise through the harbour, touring the canals alongside the Opera House, The Royal Playhouse and the National Library, and ending by the colourful old houses of Nyhavn – a must see when in Copenhagen.

Days 5-10
Six nights on the Faroe Islands
Lush green valleys, sheer cliffs and rolling moorland make the Faroe Islands a veritable playground for hiking, cycling, climbing and horse riding. The abundance of water also makes this a wonderful place to kayak and rappell – you’ll have the option to sail around the Faroe Islands and catch your own dinner. The towns and villages themselves are picture perfect with wooden churches and clusters of colourful houses, some with idyllic grass roofs.

Where you could stay
Discover the Faroe Islands’ towns and villages

Discover one of the world’s smallest capitals, Tórshavn, before spending the next few days exploring the surrounding islands and villages. Travel back in time, exploring the small Viking village of Bøur, as well as Kirkjubøur, home to the oldest inhabited house in Europe, the ruins of St Magnus Cathedral, and Ólavskirkja, a church built in 1111.
The second largest city in the Faroe Islands, Klaksvik, is known for its fresh local lobsters, while the beautiful village of Gjógv, with its wooden cottages surrounded by mountains, boasts some wonderful hiking and walking trails.
Day 11
Final night in Copenhagen
Enjoy your final night in Copenhagen, getting your last fix of its café culture – coffee and pastries are almost a religion here – and trendy shops. Scattered in between the great places to eat are design stores that reflect the Danes’ enviable style and love for all things simple but sleek.
