Soneva Jani

Located on Medhufaru Island in the Noonu Atoll and surrounded by a 5km private lagoon, is Soneva Jani. It is reached by a 40-minute seaplane journey from Male Airport.

Overwater villas are scattered across the lagoon, connected by winding wooden walkways. There are a selection of one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom villas with retractable roofs and private pools. Some even have a slide which leads from the second floor and into the sparkling waters below. There is also a four-bedroom beachside suite, perfect for families.

At the heart of the resort is The Gathering, a three-storey overwater structure where you’ll find various dining options as well as the spa, library and wine cellar. A pretty kitchen garden provides the resort with fresh fruits, vegetables and herbs making dining here a real treat. There is also an overwater observatory where you can explore the night sky with the resident astronomer, and the Cinema Paradiso which shows films on a screen over the water.

There is so much to do at Soneva Jani. Go snorkelling, diving, kayaking and paddleboarding through the crystal-clear waters, try your hand at kitesurfing, unwind at the spa and watch  the sunset from your private deck.
