Itinerary in detail
Every trip is shaped around you. Below is a sample route to start from; we change any part of it to suit you.
Days 1-3
Experience the best of Delhi
You’ll start by exploring Delhi, India’s vast and fascinating capital with a population of over 18 million. Perhaps daunting at first sight, a little exploring soon reveals a rich, diverse and fascinating culture. And if the hubbub ever starts to get too much, turn the corner and you’ll find a tranquil garden or a quiet enclave in which to stop, gather your thoughts and recharge.
Wind your way through bustling streets, past rickshaws, bicycles and cows, on privately guided tours that offer an insight into day-to-day life in the city. You will enjoy a cycle rickshaw tour of the old city, a labyrinthine maze of lanes with vendors selling bangles, grocers, items used in weddings, silverware, clothes, spices and shoes, before exploring New Delhi, built as the seat of the British Indian government in the early twentieth century.

Day 4
See the beauty of Agra and the Taj Mahal
It has graced the pages of books for centuries but nothing quite prepares you for seeing the Taj Mahal for the very fist time. The ultimate symbol of eternal love, this is one of India’s most memorable and emotive sights, and one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Of course, the Taj Mahal is the main reason people visit Agra, however, it’s well worth lingering to explore the city’s magnificent fort and explore the surrounding area on a village walk – a wonderful opportunity to get a glimpse into life in rural India.
You’ll visit the iconic marble mausoleum at sunrise when it is looking its most magical, illuminated by the soft morning light.

Days 5-6
Spot tigers in Ranthambore National Park
Located in the southeastern corner of Rajasthan, Ranthambore National Park is perhaps the most famous place to spot wild tigers in India – and for good reason. You’ll drive through the park in search of these beautiful and awe inspiring creatures with an expert guide who knows the park and its big cats like the back of their hand. As well as being a top tiger spotting destination, Ranthambore is a beautiful park to explore with the 10th-century fort towering over the surrounding plain, its crenellations now sun loungers for Hanuman langurs looking down onto the lakes below. The rest of the park’s jungle is littered with ancient temple ruins, often a favoured rest stop for wandering tigers.

Days 7-10
An adventure in the Pink City of Jaipur
The capital of Rajasthan and its largest city, Jaipur is at once the state’s commercial hub and one of its most fascinating cultural destinations. The pace of life here is fast, but take your time and in this somewhat frantic city you’ll find some of India’s most majestic palaces and atmospheric relics.
You’ll explore Jaipur’s walled Old City on a guided walk to experience day-to-day life, popping into a beautifully decorated haveli to meet the locals, and visiting a temple to witnessing a Hindu prayer ceremony. And then you will step outside the city walls where yet more wonders await.

“Incredible India”
Everything well planned and executed from start to finish. The tours and guides were amazing, accommodations first rate, and everything was smooth and seamless. Extra shout out to our driver Raju, our guide Aman in Varanasi and also to Uttam Singh Rathore - the manager for Banyan Tours in Jaipur. When our flight to Udaipur was circled back to Jaipur…
