Barracuda Hotel & Villas

Overlooking the palm-lined coast of Itacaré in the state of Bahia, Barracuda Hotel & Villas offers a refined, barefoot atmosphere in Brazil’s Atlantic rainforest. The hotel’s 17 suites open to verandas facing either the sea or the forest, with interiors that blend minimalist Scandinavian design with Bahian warmth through wood, stone and woven textures. Barracuda Villas offer a more private escape in three- and four-bedroom homes with personal hosts, kitchens and infinity pools set in the rainforest. 

The experience centres on connection to nature, local culture and a slower rhythm of life. Guests can surf at nearby beaches, canoe through mangroves or hike in the surrounding rainforest. Barracuda’s restaurant is led by local chefs Sheyla Docio and Ernando Oliveira, who exemplify the region’s flavours through dishes like local tuna, native lobster and traditional seafood stew.
