Lagarta Lodge

Nestled where two rivers meet the Pacific on Costa Rica’s Nicoya Peninsula, the beautifully situated boutique Lagarta Lodge offers you access to expansive beaches and lush woods. The lodge, with its 26 suites, is understated and modern in design so as to work in harmony with the natural environment. Elegant teak furniture and artwork from both Latin American and European artists adorns the walls and each suite features a private balcony which looks out over either the jungle or ocean. The Jungle Suites offer idyllic views of unspoiled nature, the Panorama Suites open up to beautiful ocean views, and the Flor Blanca Suites look out on the lush surroundings and the ocean.

Guests can enjoy Costa Rican cuisine at Chirriboca, and sunset cocktails on the terrace. And when it comes to relaxing, there are two infinity pools and a Jacuzzi hidden within the gardens. The eco-lodge sits within its own private nature reserve which can be explored on guided tours or by self-led walks along the marked pathways. Keep your eyes peeled for tropical birds, howler monkeys, iguanas and colourful butterflies.

There are four beautiful beaches nearby and plenty of activities to keep you busy including wildlife viewing, boat trips, kayaking, turtle tours, surfing and hiking.
