Cotopaxi Sanctuary lodge

Located on the slopes of the Sincholagua Volcano and facing the mighty Cotopaxi Volcano, one of the tallest and most active volcanoes in the world, Cotopaxi Sanctuary Lodge is 3,600 metres above sea level. Surrounded by the wide open grasslands of the Andean paramo that is enriched by forests, streams, waterfalls, and rivers, this private hacienda is a sanctuary for wildlife, including red-brocket deer, Andean pumas and the rare Andean-speckled bear, as well as wild horses and a variety of endemic birds. The lodge offers two accommodation options: spacious, modern domes and interconnected suites, both designed with large windows to provide breathtaking views of the Cotopaxi Volcano and the Andean landscape.

Dining at Cotopaxi Sanctuary Lodge is a culinary delight, featuring the chef’s exquisite recipes made with local grains and vegetables native to Ecuador and the Andean Sierra region.
