Itinerary in detail
Every trip is shaped around you. Below is a sample route to start from; we change any part of it to suit you.
Days 1-4
Three nights in Quito
Begin your trip in Quito, Ecuador’s capital and the first ever UNESCO World Heritage city. You’ll have our list of recommendations as well as private guides on hand to enjoy the best of this historical city and contemporary hub. We can arrange a number of private, interest-led tours as well as book restaurants. Talk to your travel designer about how you would like to spend your time here.

Where you could stay
Live Quito Like a Local

The first part of your adventure includes a neighbourhood walk in the company of a local guide who will share their first-hand insights into the history, livelihoods, traditions, stories, beliefs and cuisine of their city. Experience the lively market of San Francisco and wander down to the restored and revitalised street of La Ronda to meet artisans at work. Discover the art of chocolate-making from a Swiss-Ecuadorian confectioner family.
You’ll then visit the Casa del Alabado archaeological museum and enjoy a trip up to one of the city’s viewpoints to fully appreciate its Andean setting.
Days 5-8
Four nights cruising around the Galápagos Islands
Embark on a cruise around the Galápagos Islands on your choice of our selected luxury expedition cruises. Spend your days hopping between islands, heading ashore to hike up volcanoes, meeting giant tortoise and spotting hundreds of birds amid forests of cacti.
There’s also plenty of beach time, usually shared with playful sea lions and sun bathing marine iguanas, incredible snorkelling and sea kayaking, all with excellent guiding.

Where you could stay
