- A percentage of the resort’s revenue contributes to a sustainability fund, which is annually allocated based on local community needs. These needs are determined through engagement with various stakeholders, including government entities, private schools and hospitals.
- Your stay helps support various initiatives ranging from education, women’s empowerment, marine biology environmental protection and animal welfare.
- The property partners with the Olive Ridley Project to monitor and protect green turtle populations nearby. Through a bycatch programme, they help fishermen release bycatch, leading to the successful release of turtles and rays, including endangered species. Additionally, Six Senses Zighy Bay conducts underwater cleanups with the local Ministry of Environment, removing tons of ghost nets.
- Six Senses Zighy Bat is located in a government-designated protected area, where they conduct reef surveys to monitor coral growth and its impact on marine life. Your stay at the resort helps to contribute towards their coral restoration programme.
