Masiya’s Camp sits within Thornybush Private Game Reserve, on the western boundary of Greater Kruger National Park in South Africa. Part of the Royal Portfolio, it has just six tented suites alongside a lounge, bar and dining area – all surrounded by vast wilderness.

Each of the spacious, canvas-framed suites is individually designed with bold patterns, vintage furniture and thoughtfully curated spaces that blend indoor and outdoor living. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame views of the bushveld, while generous wooden decks have plush outdoor furniture and private heated plunge pools.

Experiences here are immersive and intimate. Head out on day and night game drives with deeply knowledgeable safari guides and trackers, looking for the Big Five and stopping for sundowners in the savannah. Learn to read animal tracks and take in the sights and sounds of the wild up close on bush walks. And join conservation experts as they visit the nests of endangered southern ground-hornbills or gather data on African wild dogs.

Back at camp, enjoy meals prepared by expert chefs using seasonal ingredients at outdoor cooking stations or in the interactive kitchen. You also have use of the gym and spa at nearby Malewane Lodge.
