Meet your guide for a day of street food discovery at Singapore’s popular hawker centres. First, go to the Chinatown Food Complex – a multi-storey wet and dry market that is popular among locals and foreigners.

Find a seat amidst the crowd and sip on kopi tarik or teh Tarik – the famous pulled coffee or tea and thick kaya toast, a typical everyday breakfast. Learn about hawker culture in Singapore and taste local snacks such as popiah and kueh pie tee, which is hand-made fresh daily.

Just 75 minutes north of Singapore by seaplane, Bawah Reserve comprises six private islands within Indonesia’s Anambas Archipelago. Secluded and exclusive, these lushly forested islands sit at the heart of a 1,000 hectare marine conservation area.

Spend the next few days lounging on castaway beaches, immersing yourself in the kaleidoscopic world beneath the aquamarine waves, and relaxing within the resort’s luxury amenities. There are four inclusive restaurants showcasing Indonesian and Mediterranean cuisine, a rejuvenating spa, daily movement classes, sailing, cooking workshops and snorkelling, to name but a few of the activities on offer here.
