Rose Gums

Rose Gums is set in a lush tropical wilderness of rainforest and thickets of eucalyptus, a green landscape where fascinating creatures thrive in the canopies of this natural wonderland. The lodge is named after the most prominent tree in the area, easily spotted due to its height and brilliant white trunk.

This award-winning eco-lodge consists of nine handcrafted teak treehouses. Choose from a studio or a two-bedroom treehouse, or for families or groups of friends, there are two that sleep up to six guests. Each one features a kitchen, living space, large spa bath, a wood burning fireplace and a balcony. All treehouses are at least 100m away from each other, meaning you are guaranteed total privacy.

You will find a hamper of fresh bread, muesli, bacon and eggs for you to enjoy on your first morning, and there are kitchen facilities and a BBQ in each treehouse. Alternatively, enjoy a meal at LEAF restaurant.

Wildlife viewing is one of the main attractions at Rose Gums. Perhaps catch a glimpse of the unusual and distinct platypus or a southern endangered cassowary. A Lumholtz tree kangaroo may be seen climbing up the trunks while pythons, turtles and dingoes can all be found in the area. Great burst of colour brush the treetops as colourful king parrots and red lorikeets play through the branches, and you may just spot the smallest kangaroo in the world, the musky rat-kangaroo.
