Hassler Roma

Hassler Roma is a luxury hotel in Rome’s centro storico, the historic centre.

From its tree-framed terraces views stretch across the city’s ancient buildings and Piazza di Spagna towards the River Tiber. Landmarks including the ship-shaped Fontana della Barcaccia and the Scalinata di Trinità dei Monti, better known as the Spanish Steps, are just minutes away.

Rooms layer soft textures in tones of white, butter and bronze, alongside elegant marble bathrooms. Many have balconies or look onto plant-filled internal courtyards. Families and larger groups can add sofa beds or book interconnecting rooms.

The suites are spacious with separate living areas and bold design details. The Hassler Penthouse is one of our favourite suites for its travertine terraces, panoramic city views and deep soaking bath.

You can dine at Michelin-starred Imàgo on the sixth floor, taking in views of the 17th-century Church of Trinità dei Monti, Castel Sant’Angelo and the Pantheon. At Salone Eva, settle in for Roman-inspired dishes, afternoon tea or late-night snacks. We especially recommend the seventh-floor terrace for aperitivo hour, when the Eternal City’s spires, domes and turrets are gilded by the sunset.

From March to August, tables spill out into Palm Court, the hotel’s leafy outdoor dining space. Plants and blooms fill the gardens, set among ancient stone walls bearing busts and statues.
