Itinerary in detail
Every trip is shaped around you. Below is a sample route to start from; we change any part of it to suit you.
Days 1-3
Sophisticated Stockholm
You’ll begin your trip in the heart of Stockholm, Sweden’s capital. Set over 14 islands, it is a place of water and greenery as much as the urban, where centuries of history meet the constant forward-thinking nature of its nearly one million inhabitants.
During your stay, you’ll be introduced to many of the city’s most famous landmarks. Visit the City Hall and then see the impressive shipwreck at the Vasa Museum before exploring the hidden alleys of Gamla Stan. You’ll also have the opportunity to see how the king and his family live in the Royal Palace of Stockholm.
Alongside fine museums, trend-setting restaurants and nightclubs, a short cruise out of the capital will find you among the thousands of beautiful islands comprising the Stockholm archipelago, making this a city that feels surprisingly outdoorsy.

Where you could stay
Explore the sights of Stockholm

On this tour, you’ll get to see some of the city’s most distinguished highlights. At the Vasa Museum, marvel at the remnants of a wreck that had laid at the bottom of the ocean for some 333 years. Next, you’ll breathe in the fresh air as you wander down hidden alleyways between medieval buildings in Gamla Stan, Stockholm’s Old Town.
Pop into the Royal Palace of Stockholm to see its regal state apartments. Then, stop by the medieval Cathedral and discover the historic Stortorget and Mårten Trotzigs Gränd alleyways. You’ll end the tour with glimpses of some of Stockholm’s city districts, like Södermalm, Djurgården, Norrmalm and Östermalm.
Your sled adventure to the Icehotel

Your personal guide and a team of huskies will meet you at the airport to whisk you off to the Icehotel. On arrival, you’ll be given winter overalls, boots, hats and gloves before you journey through snowy forests and across frozen lakes.
Days 4-5
Spend two nights in a resort carved from ice
Venture into Sweden’s breathtaking Arctic region, Swedish Lapland, where you’ll stay at the world-famous Icehotel in Jukkasjärvi, crafted using ice made from the River Torne’s frigid waters. You’ll spend one night in a cold room and the other in a warm room.
During your time here, enjoy a variety of experiences, from ice dinners to snowmobile safaris.

Where you could stay
Days 6-8
Immerse yourself in Lappish forest
Enjoy the serenity of Swedish Lapland from your uniquely designed room at the Treehotel, tucked into a pine forest within the Harads locality.
There are plenty of activities to revel in, from exploring the surrounding forest on foot or bike and kayaking along the peaceful river nearby to simply unwinding in the luxurious sauna before savouring a meal made from locally foraged ingredients.
You’ll also enjoy intimate gourmet dinners, including an ice dining experience throughout your stay.

Visit the historic Church Village of Gammelstad en route to Luleå Airport

As your trip draws to a close, you’ll visit the World Heritage Church Village of Gammelstad. It is the best-preserved example of the type of town that was once widespread throughout northern Scandinavia.
You’ll see the 15th-century Nederluleå Church, encircled by more than four hundred wooden houses, which were only used on Sundays and during religious festivals to accommodate worshippers travelling in from surrounding areas.
