Itinerary in detail
Every trip is shaped around you. Below is a sample route to start from; we change any part of it to suit you.
Days 1-3
Three nights in Argentina's capital
Before you set off for the wilds of Patagonia, spend some time relaxing and exploring the wonderful, colourful city of Buenos Aires. Explore the grand and classical architecture inspired by the streets of Europe, or get lost in the eclectic streets of La Boca, a melting pot of cultural influences that still retains a distinct identity. Take in a tango show and explore the city on a privately-guided tour, or ask your concierge to organise a more specialist excursion such as a personal shopping trip, wine tasting or tango lessons.

Days 4-7
Three nights in the glacier region from El Calafate
Next you’ll spend a few nights based in El Calafate on the edge of the Southern Patagonian ice field. From here you’ll visit Argentina’s staggering glaciers, including the Perito Moreno Glacier in Los Glaciares National Park. This is truly is a land of breathtaking vistas, wide open spaces and crisp clean air. Grey foxes flee across the heathery landscape, whilst cinnamon-coloured guanaco deer balance on rocky crags and rosy flamingos gather at the water’s edge. Hawks and kites hover over the hillside, eyeing scurrying voles and other rodents.

Where you could stay
A private tour of Perito Moreno Glacier

A private car will take you the 2.5 hours to Los Glaciares National Park, with stops at viewpoints en-route to spot fox, deer, hare and armadillo – and if you’re very lucky, a puma or the silhouette of a condor. Arriving at the humbling sight of the vast Perito Moreno Glacier you will take a guided hike along specially built walkways with superb vistas and photo-taking opportunities, as well as opportunities to learn about the environmental and local importance of the glacier.
Days 8-11
Four nights of exploration in Torres del Paine
Deep in the south of Chile’s remote Patagonia, the spectacular Torres del Paine National Park is considered one of the most beautiful areas in the world and is packed with mesmerising picture-postcard peaks, glaciers and lakes. You can choose from a variety of excursions, including exploring the park’s famous hiking routes, setting off on horseback rides with gauchos or taking a helicopter flight to take in the park’s wild landscapes from above.

Where you could stay
Torres del Paine by helicopter

Board an exclusive helicopter flight around the periphery of the park and soak up the beauty of Torres del Paine from above. As you rise above the trails and hiking routes, this incredible angle shows the wonders of Chilean Patagonia in a whole new light.
Day 12
A night in Chile's Lake District
Continue your immersion in Chile’s great outdoors with a night in the Lake District. This beautiful region is characterised by snow–capped volcanoes, ancient forests, and crystal clear lakes. For lovers of the outdoors, there are no shortage of adventures here, including hiking, hot springs, and some of the best fishing in the world.

Where you could stay
Day 13
Two nights in Chile's famous Wine Region
South of Santiago lies Chile’s rich central valleys with their numerous vineyards. Spend your days in the Wine Region touring exclusive wineries, tasting at cellar doors, horse riding, hiking and much more. In the evenings, enjoy fine dining at the restaurants our Concierge experts will recommend to you.

“A Fantastic Exploration of Patagonia”
I wanted to discover Patagonia and Jacada put together a great 20-day itinerary for me that included Chile (Santiago and Torres del Paine) and Argentina (El Calafate, Chalten, Ushuaia and Buenos Aires). All of the activities suggested by Jacada turned out to be great experiences, the hotels and restaurants were excellent and the travel logistics went without a hitch. I…
