When to visit Belize as a family

For the best underwater visibility for the barrier reef and exciting days on the sand, visit during the dry season from December to May. This is also a great time of year for jungle adventures. As May ticks over into June, it’s still okay to travel, although towards July the rainy season is well underway. Belize’s end-of-year school holidays fall over five weeks from June to the beginning of August. While June marks the official start of the rainy green season, the weather is still manageable and there are fewer crowds to share the space with on your Belize family vacation.
