Every trip is shaped around you. Below is a sample route to start from; we change any part of it to suit you.

Days 1-4

Highlights of Panama City

Casco Viejo, also known as Casco Antiguo – the ‘old quarter’, which dates back to 1673, is Panama City’s most charismatic neighbourhood. This UNESCO Cultural World Heritage Site is brimming with vitality, from vibrant plazas lined with colourful buildings to renowned gastronomy. From freshly grilled seafood to some of Panama’s best dishes, the dining here is not to be missed.

Miraflores VIP Experience

Head to Miraflores Locks at the Panama Canal where your specialised guide will introduce you to the unique details of this marvel of engineering. As well as watching massive vessels traverse the locks, you’ll be able to learn about their history and construction at the Visitors’ Centre and Museum. This VIP experience also allows you to access areas restricted to the public, and weather permitting you’ll have the unique opportunity to get a much closer view of the locks and operations.

Days 5-8

Private island paradise in Chiriquí

Stretching from the Costa Rican border to the Azuero Peninsula on Panama’s Pacific coast, the Gulf of Chiriquí encompasses a wealth of marine life and spectacular scenery, including the Gulf of Chiriquí National Marine Park, dense mangrove forests, coral reefs and picturesque private islands. Set on an untouched archipelago of 14 islands, the private island resort of Islas Secas, which will be your base for this leg of the trip, is the ultimate beach destination.

Humpback whale watching

The protected waters in the Gulf of Chiriquí are the only place in the world known to host two separate populations of migrating humpback whales. As well as the possibility of spotting humpback whales from the comfort of your casita, Islas Secas also offers sensitive whale-watching expeditions, where you’re like to have some epic encounters with these majestic creatures.
