Luxury Okavango Delta Safari made for you
Immerse yourself in the wonders of the Okavango Delta with a private journey designed just for you
The essential Botswana safari destination
The Okavango Delta is rightly known as one of the premier wildlife habitats in the world, home to an enormous density and diversity of wildlife.
In the Delta you wil see intense sunsets that reflect in the waterways, fall asleep to the sound of frogs at night and observe elephants wading through the reeds. All combining to make an unforgettable stay.
One of nature’s great spectacles, the flooding of the Delta, brings water from thousands of miles upstream on the Okavango river, arriving into Botswana in the dry season (July and August). Huge herds of animals flock to take advantage of the ready supply of water and nutrients, and their predators follow.
The experience in the Okavango Delta is exclusive. We recommend staying in a private concession where there are only a few, smaller camps. Staying in one of these luxury camps means you’re unlikely to see others during your game drives, adding to the feeling of a true wilderness.
The Okavango Delta is celebrated for its water safari activities. Traverse the waterways on a powerboat and then drift along in a mokoro (small wooden canoe). Expert guides will explain the secrets of the Delta. They will show you tiny frogs and beautiful birdlife including lilac breasted rollers and the larger waterbirds such as herons, storks and if you’re lucky, the Pel’s Fishing owl.
Our Africa specialists have first-hand experience of planning luxury Okavango Delta safaris. They’ve lived in the region and done it themselves. We’ll use that know-how to help you choose the best camps in lesser-known corners of the Delta, paying attention to the small details. Contact us to learn more about the best time to go.

When to visit the Okavango Delta
June through to October are the best game viewing months in the Okavango Delta as the climate is very dry and the water begins to recede, making the animals congregate in smaller areas. However, the temperature during October can be very hot.
