Luxury Safaris in Kafue National Park made for you
Zambia's oldest and largest national park
Unusual game viewing away from the crowds
Found in the centre of western Zambia, best accessed from Lusaka, is the vast, virgin wilderness of Kafue National Park. Much more rugged than Luangwa or the Zambezi, and regardless of its prominent setting, Kafue is not infiltrated with tourists. Instead, this wildlife prolific park remains largely untouched with a whopping range of habitats and thus, animals too.
From open plains to wooded areas to the broad Kafue River, this flora and fauna paradise boasts a truly impressive array of sightings, including packs of the elusive wild dog, pods of hippo and numerous big cats and ungulate.
However, such a variety of habitats also leads to more unusual game viewing. Curious creatures such as the honey badger, otter, mongoose and bush baby can all be spotted here. Meanwhile endless hours are spent birdwatching with over 500 bird species calling this Park home.
