When to visit Southern Africa

The best time for a family trip to Southern Africa is during the dry season from May to October. These months offer ideal conditions for safaris, with little rainfall and pleasant temperatures. The best time to visit Victoria Falls depends on your priorities. You’ll get the best views between February and July, but some activities require the lower water levels of August–January.
