Luxury Southern Peruvian Amazon Tours made for you
Discover the beauty of the Southern Peruvian Amazon with a private journey designed just for you
Just a short flight from Cusco into the Amazon
The last great natural wilderness, the Amazon is a truly awesome location that needs to be experienced to be fully understood. Peru’s Amazon region, called Madre de Dios, is located in the southeastern part of the country just north of Lake Titicaca and is home to the pristine Tambopata National Reserve.
The Peruvian Amazon is one of the most biodiverse regions on the planet. The lush rainforest is teeming with vibrant life. If you have the time and the patience, it’s a magnificent place to spot hyacinth macaws, monkeys, caiman, giant otters and other amazing wildlife. Head out on guided treks, riverboat cruises and even canopy walkways to fully appreciate its natural beauty. Night safaris reveal the forest’s nocturnal inhabitants, while luxurious Peruvian Amazon lodges provide you with sustainable and comfortable bases from which to experience the wilderness. The really make the most of the experience, consider a cruise which allows you to slow down and really immerse yourself in your surroundings.

When to visit
The best time to visit the Amazon for nature walks is between June to October, the low water season. The best time to visit the Amazon to cruise on higher waters and experience wildlife in the tree canopy is November to May. During the low water season, you can set off on nature walks and enjoy a better chance of seeing migratory birds. While cruising on high water, watch out for monkeys and sloths in the treetops.
